We’re thrilled to welcome Julian Stodd as an expert contributor to our upcoming MOOC on Social Learning, starting May 12, 2025.
Julian is a thought leader, researcher, and author in the field of social and collaborative learning. Through his writing and work with the Social Age, he has helped countless organisations rethink how learning happens—through community, storytelling, co-creation, and a deep understanding of social dynamics. He is also the founder of SeaSalt Learning.
In his contribution to the MOOC, Julian will share his perspective on:
Scaffolded learning – how we can design learning experiences that grow in complexity as learners develop
Community building – what it takes to create and sustain true learning communities
A glimpse into the future – how social structures, trust, and new technologies are shaping the way we learn together
Julian’s contribution helps connect the human, strategic, and future-oriented aspects of social learning. His thinking offers a fresh lens on how to move beyond isolated knowledge delivery toward something much more dynamic, inclusive, and impactful.
