Not afraid to take your learning strategy to the next level?

You've probably already come across it: skill-based learning. But what exactly is it and how do you get started with it? Learn in our upcoming MOOC that goes live Oct. 31.

What was a MOOC again?

MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Course. Quite a mouthful by which we mean that the MOOC is completely online but certainly not lonely. On the contrary: you will engage in conversation with all the other L&D specialists and you can share your ideas plenty. We, the organizers, will also be present online during the weeks of the MOOC to answer your questions.

Who?

This MOOC is for L&D practitioners of any level and function, so from manager to developer: all L&D practitioners are welcome. This MOOC provides valuable insights, tools and connections for every context.

What?

This MOOC is designed to guide participants in understanding and applying skill-based learning, an approach that focuses on teaching and reinforcing concrete skills. We will cover the following topics:

  1. Introduction to skill based learning: What does skill-based learning entail? What does it look like and what theory is it based on?
  2. Upskilling, reskilling and the skill gap: We take it a step further: how does skill-based learning help people get ahead? And what exactly is upskilling, reskilling and the skill gap? We will show you practical examples. For example, did you know that the EU is already working on skill-based learning?
  3. Skill based learning and L&D: Wondering what skill based learning can look like in the practice of online learning? We take you through the practical applications of skill based learning, from ontologies to skill builders.
  4. Future of skill-based learning: The impact of AI is everywhere and certainly in skill based learning. Learn how AI is woven into the concept of skill based learning and look into the future with us.
