In times of need, no one stands alone. That's what the Red Cross stands for. With the largest volunteer aid network in the world, the organization is ready to help those who need them most. The non-profit organization springs into action during disasters, conflicts and emergencies. With chapters in 192 countries, Red Cross is also ready in the Netherlands. More than 14,000 volunteers are available to help people in need. These 14,000 volunteers must also have the right skills at the right times. And that is what Next Learning Valley is going to support in the coming years: setting up the Learning Suite with the LXP, the LRS, event management and automation as components.
"Red Cross is an organization known worldwide. They do wonderful things for people in need. It is an honor that we as Next Learning Valley can contribute with our learning tools so that the volunteers in the Netherlands are both qualified and competent," said Hans Ramaker (senior implementor at Next Learning Valley).
Embracing a new vision of learning. That is the goal of Red Cross. The non-profit organization wants to change from educating and training to learning and developing with the aim of offering learning experiences that allow volunteers to learn more efficiently and to be ready faster to perform their (constantly changing) tasks correctly. To achieve this, the Red Cross has chosen to work with the learning concepts of personalized, social, workplace and data-driven learning.
The concepts of personalized, social, workplace and data-driven learning are central to Next Learning Valley and are supported by the Learning Suite. The Learning Suite is a dynamic learning ecosystem of (as many as 9) learning tools linked and aligned to help the learner develop with impactful experiences.
Red Cross simultaneously begins implementation of the LXP, the LRS, event management and automation. Event management is a new tool within the Learning Suite that allows managing meetings, events, coaching and face-2-face meetings. As an educational implementation partner, we guide the nonprofit organization not only in successful implementation of the learning tools, but also in technical support.
Hans concludes, "Because this is not a standard implementation, a lot of customization is required. That can make the project challenging, but also extra fun because we get to work with a driven and enthusiastic team."
