NLV customer day big success

News

The NLV Customer Day was able to take place live for the first time in a long time. And how. This annual phenomenon brings together Next Learning Valley's partners, clients and employees. On Wednesday, March 16, over thirty people gathered at the NS venue; a beautiful location of one of our clients, where Next Learning Valley could proudly show how the company has developed and take a look into the future.

The customer day brings industries and people together to learn with and from each other. "Customers who have been with us for years and organizations we only just got to know: it was a nice mixed company. It would be nice if at a next edition even more people attend, but given the corona, the turnout was already super," says NLV founder Jos Maassen. "Great to see how different customers already found each other right away and exchanged experiences."

From 2013 to now

"Nine years ago, François and I began our Next Learning Valley adventure. With a trip to London and a conversation with our British partner Ben Betts, we plunged into MOOCs and SPOCs. We have since become educational implementation partners of wonderful companies and organizations such as Ministry of Defense, VodafoneZiggo, ABN AMRO. If we were still doing today what we were doing in 2013, we would no longer exist. An awful lot has happened in a few years. Telling of how fast and dynamic the Learning & Development field is changing."

Proud of the team

"The location of our customer day was top notch: surrounded by the train carriages of our customer the Dutch Railways they too gave a presentation explaining what their challenges are in Learning & Development. Then our implementor of learning innovation Hans Ramaker took us through what the Learning Suite is, why it is so important to implement and what trends are playing in it now.

Then team members Max, Kim and Dirk gave short knowledge sessions of 20 minutes each. Max on data driven learning, Kim on the Learning Accelerator and Dirk on how to get from content to a learning experience. Also, Ben Betts from Nottingham online gave an inspiration session about his vision on why we need to invest in people and how the Learning Suite contributes to that. François and I closed the day with our future vision, roadmap and current trends in learning: data driven learning, upskilling and reskilling and the added value of the Learning Suite."

Meeting more minds

"Wonderful to get together again and finally speak to several people live (for the first time!). We hadn't been able to do that with some clients because of the corona measures," Jos laughs. "Everything was right and fitting. At the closing drinks, people received a nice goodie bag to take home and some attendees exchanged contact information. You can't have it any nicer. We are already looking forward to the next NLV customer day!
