Learning Analytics learning track for L&D professional

Blogs

Next Learning Valley, together with Study Center for Business and Government (SBO), is hosting an intensive Learning Analytics learning track. The focus? Increase the learning capacity of your organization using (learning) data. After the two-month program, you will be able to collect targeted data, improve and optimize learning interventions based on learning analytics, have seen several examples of data for strengthening learning, and know how to create support for the use of data. And the biggest benefit? François Walgering and Max Mertens are your instructors.

The world is becoming increasingly complex. Future-proof organizations must move with rapidly changing circumstances. Roles and functions are changing. This requires agility from employees, and places an important responsibility on L&D departments. Learning and developing employees is increasingly a priority.

Yet, sometimes people still think of L&D as a "soft" world. Learning is not a priority in itself, but a way to (continue to) present. How do you show the value of your learning and development interventions?

Leverage the opportunities of data

L&D is a huge source of data: with the digitization of training and the increasing use of learning forums, a world is opening up to us. Learning analytics are data about who, what, when is learning and the analytics you can run on that. Data is still an ambition and not an urgency in many organizations. This is unjustified: with the right use of data, you make better decisions, ensure demonstrably higher quality and a higher return. Learning can be organized more effectively and efficiently.

The program

The program consists of a personal intake and four modules:

  1. Visualizing learning capabilities
  2. Analyzing learning capabilities
  3. Intervening and increasing learning capacity
  4. Automating learning to support L&D

Why do you want to participate?

The intensive learning track is specifically designed for anyone within an organization involved in employee learning and development who wants to use data to strengthen their learning capacity. The learning track has a blended format, in which:

  • A hands-on design to translate the opportunities of data into the context of learning
  • A personal touch because you get to work on your own case study
  • You learn from each other by gaining insight into the practices of fellow students
  • You will receive a certificate of participation
  • An online learning environment is available

After this track:

  • Can you collect targeted data and know why you are doing it
  • Improve and optimize your learning interventions based on learning analytics
  • Have you seen several examples of data for enhancing learning
  • Know how to create support for the use of data
